Windsurfen ist eine Wassersportart, bei der man, auf einem Surfbrett stehend, ein Segel zur Fortbewegung nutzt. Das Segel ist freibeweglich mit dem Brett verbunden, was spektakuläre Manöver und Tricks ermöglicht.  Die in den USA entwickelte Sportart wurde zur Trendsportart und hat sich weltweit etabliert.

Fuerteventura is the island with the hottest reputation. Fuerte is also one of the canary island with the hottest choice of places to sail. There are hundreds of breaks alone up the north shore, far too many to sail.The problems lye in the fact, that the wind line wanders on a daily basis i.e.: you can be at one beach with no wind, while Cottillo 1/2 hour away can be howling!!
